Adolph John Sosalla, age 85, of Whitehall, died on Monday, November 10, 2014 in the Gundersen Tri-County Care Center in Whitehall.

Adolph was born on October 17, 1929 in the town of Lincoln, Trempealeau County, WI to Edward and Martina (Kamla) Sosalla. He married the love of his life, Colette Karash, on April 21, 1952 in Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Independence. Together they celebrated 62 years of marriage.

Adolph farmed, worked at the Whitehall Packing Plant, did carpentry work and worked at the Mr. Kleen Car Wash in Whitehall for several years. In 1976, Adolph sold his farm due to his health.

Adolph enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and most of all, spending time with his family.

Adolph is survived by his wife, Colette; a daughter, Cindy (Rick) Hagen of LaCrosse; two sons, John (Marlene) Sosalla of Blair and David (Rita) Sosalla of Arcadia; eight grandchildren, Laurie (Gordy Jr.) Buchner, Erika Hagen, Thomas Hagen, Darcy (Karla) Sonsalla, Bobby Sosalla, Bradley Sosalla, Denise (Neal) Schank and Dylan Sosalla; seven great-grandchildren, Gordy and Nolan Buchner, Ryker Sonsalla, Nolan, Nora and Devin Schank and Adyson Sosalla; a brother, Ben (Rosemary) Sosalla of Whitehall; two sisters, Marie Woychik of Whitehall and Ann (Donald) Gilbert of LaCrosse.

In addition to his parents, Adolph was preceded in death by an infant son and a grandson, Dustin Sosalla.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in Saint John's Catholic Church with burial in the Lincoln Cemetery both in Whitehall. Father Woodrow Pace will officiate.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 13, 2014 from 4-7 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall where a Christian prayer service will held at 7:00 p.m. followed by a parish rosary. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
