Agnes Alvina Diedrich, age 94, of Blair, died on Saturday, September 13, 2014 in the Gundersen Tri-County Hospital in Whitehall.

Agnes was was born on August 22, 1920 in a log cabin in the town of Edson, Chippewa County, WI to Peter and Magdalena (Klapperich) Pinter. She grew up in Boyd, WI and married Bernard Diedrich on June 11, 1946 in Edson. Ben and Agnes later moved to Blair.

Agnes was employed at the Blair Elementary School. She and her husband, Ben, were active members of Saint Ansgar's Catholic Church in Blair and were the church custodians for many years.

Agnes enjoyed gardening, cooking and recipes.

Agnes is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ben, who died on November 4, 2004, Agnes was preceded in death by four brothers, Matthew, Albert, Roman and Sylvester Pinter and a sister, Martha Vanek.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. in Saint Ansgar's Catholic Church in Blair. Father Woodrow Pace will officiate. Burial will be in the Brooklawn Cemetery in Cadott.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
