Alan Stuart Robertson, age 84, of Blair, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 2, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Alan was born on April 10, 1941 in Beloit to Andrew and Dorothy (Halverson) Robertson. After graduating from Beloit High School, he went on to study at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he met fellow student and love of his life, Catherine Webber. They married on January 23, 1965 in Madison.  Alan graduated from law school in May of 1966.

Alan and Catherine moved to Blair in 1968 with their growing family. From those early days, he quickly became an integral part of the community as a leader and legal professional. Throughout his career, Alan served two terms in the Wisconsin State Assembly, was a Wisconsin Circuit Court judge for Trempealeau County and City Attorney. His work has consistently reflected a commitment to fairness, second chances and the betterment of those he served. He took particular pride in the work representing the interests of those unable to protect themselves as a Guardian Ad Litem.

Outside of his professional life, Alan was an active volunteer and supporter of the Blair community, participating in organizations such as the Blair Lutheran Church, Lions Club, Blair Foundation, the Chamber of Commerce, Scout Troop Leader, Blair Cheese Festival, as well as other local initiatives. A huge supporter of Blair-Taylor athletics and extracurricular activities, he could often be found volunteering as a judge or panelist, holding various leadership and coaching positions and providing guidance to youth of all ages.

He believed in the value of community, put his heart into the things he loved and served others with sincerity and compassion for all. Alan's life showed that one person can truly make a difference - leaving a legacy of service, kindness and community spirit that will last for generations.

An avid Badger and Packer fan, Alan could also be found on the golf course, on a bike ride or with his nose in a book. He and Catherine traveled extensively and especially enjoyed retreats at the Clearing in Door County and Sundays at the winery.

Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Dorothy (Halverson) Robertson; his sister, Janice and a son, Andrew Mark.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Catherine; his children, Timothy (Karen) Robertson, Susan Robertson and Amy (Dan) Beaman and his grandchildren, Katie and Emma Robertson and Andrew Beaman.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. in Blair Lutheran Church West (Zion) in Blair.  Pastor Chris Sesvold will officiate.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of cards, Alan's family asks that all memorials be designated to the Blair Area Foundation (P.O. Box 12) or the Blair-Preston Public Library (P.O. Box 165).
