Alfred Elroy Everson, age 84, of Blair, died on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 in the Gundersen Tri-County Care Center in Whitehall.

Alfred was born on June 26, 1931 in Whitehall to Elmer and Evelyn (Johnson) Everson. He married Irene Otterson on November 19, 1979 in Blair. Irene preceded Alfred in death on March 21, 2010.

Alfred graduated from the Blair High School. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Alaska.

Alfred owned and operated E&M Trucking along with Russell McDougall. Prior to his retirement, Alfred was a patrolman for the Trempealeau County Highway Department.

Alfred is survived by six children, Kenneth (Angie) Everson of Baldwin, Keith (Karmon) Everson of Blair, Karl (Karen) Everson of Eau Claire, Beverly (David) Iverson of Osseo, Cathy (David) Herndon of New Milford, NJ and Roxie (Jeff) Drung of Elk Mound; 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and four brothers, Truman Everson of Franklin, Elmer (Rose) Everson Jr. of Blair, Wally (Gloria) Everson of Hixton and Jerry (Rosemary) Everson of Mondovi.

In addition to his parents and wife, Alfred was preceded in death by a brother, Earl.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Blair Lutheran Church West with burial in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery both in Blair. Pastor Barbara Bruneau will officiate. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Knudtson-Mattison American Legion Post #231.

Visitation will be Monday, November 30, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Blair and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
