Alice Mae Craig, 80, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Thursday, February 6th.
She was born on May 22nd, 1933 to Iver and Millie(Fryseth) Reed in Ferryville, WI. She married Winfred Craig on June 1st, 1955. They dairy farmed in Bangor for 9 year and then in 1964 bought a farm in French Creek, rural Ettrick. They were blessed with six children. Alice was very devoted to her family while still being an active member of her community and French Creek Lutheran Church. She held many positions on various committees through her many years of service to the church. She loved being around family and made her home the gathering place for many get together's.
She is survived by her 6 children.
Wayne (Kay) Craig, Mark (Sue) Craig, Sheri Craig, Lori Craig, Kristi (Neil) Jensen, Vicki (Dwayne) Hardy and grandchildren Lindsay (Lucas), Andrew, Millay, Devon, Rudy, Cole, Olivia, Dwayne Jr, Payton, Sophia. She is also survived by her sisters Inez Labus and Lila (Karl) Oppreicht & sister-in-law Verna. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Winfred, sisters Lillian, Rosella, Delores, two brothers William & Rayness and a nephew, Kevin Oppreicht. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at French Creek Lutheran Church, with burial in the church cemetery, both in rural Ettrick. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the church and one hour prior to services Tuesday.
