Ardell S. Johnson, age 77, of Blair, died on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at his home.

Ardell was born May 10, 1938 in Whitehall, WI to Arthur and Agnes (Anderson) Johnson. He married Thelma Husmoen on September 19, 1964 in Blair.

Ardell farmed in Hagestad Coulee in rural Ettrick and enjoyed hauling canned milk.

Ardell is survived by his wife, Thelma; six children, Debra (Kenneth) Brown of Ettrick, Keith (Shannon) Johnson of Ettrick, Luanne (Scott) Freng of Holmen, Kristy (Michael) Benedict of Blair, Bruce Johnson of Blair and Lance (Amy) Johnson of Blair; ten grandchildren, Coady (Erica) Brown, Simone (Robert Jr.) Dingfelder, Chelsea (Jacob) Stephenson, Lindsey Johnson, Kayla Freng, Sierra (Sam) Overlien, Seth (Jenny) Benedict, Shay (Jordan Merfeld) Benedict, Kayli Benedict and Grace Young; nine great-grandchildren, Julia and Sadie Brown, Alissa Dingfelder, Weston Johnson, Avery and Adelae Overlien, Noah and Emma Mitchell and Ryland Stene.

Ardell was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Blair Lutheran Church East with burial in the Rest Haven Cemetery both in Blair. Pastor Barbara Bruneau will officiate.

Visitation will be Monday, June 29, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Blair and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
