Arnold Jerome Mattson, age 85, of Blair, was called to his heavenly home on Friday, June 7, 2019 in the Grand View Care Center in Blair.

Arnold was born on August 8, 1933 in Black River Falls to Alex and Laura (Larson) Mattson. Arnold lived with his sister, Patricia Truax, for 26 years after his parents passed away. The last 4 ½ years were spent in the special care unit at the Grand View Care Center in Blair.

Arnold loved fishing, bowling and camping.

Arnold is survived by his sister, Patricia Truax of Ettrick along with eight nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Arnold was preceded in death by a brother, Merlin; an infant sister, one nephew, one niece, a sister-in-law, Pearl Mattson and a brother-in-law, Dennis Truax.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Blair. Pastor Kary Jonas will officiate. Burial will be in the South Beaver Creek Lutheran Cemetery in rural Ettrick.

Visitation will be Friday, June 21, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Blair and also one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
