Byron Jerome Boe, age 75, of rural Blair, died on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at his home.

Byron was born on August 7, 1938 in Blair to Ernest and Hazel (Holte) Boe. He married Ann Marie Berg on June 17, 1961 in Blair. Byron and Ann Marie lived in Madison where Byron was employed as an electrical engineer for Madison Gas & Electric prior to his retirement when they returned to Blair in 1996. Ann Marie preceded Byron in death on October 16, 2004.

Byron is survived by two sisters, Barbara J. Halpern of Whitehall and Helen E. (Stanley) Marthaler of Blair; a sister-in-law, Karen Boe of Blair; a very special friend, Shirley Pederson of Eau Claire; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, Byron was preceded in death by an infant son, Brian J. Boe and a brother, Howard E. Boe.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Blair Lutheran Church East with burial in the Rest Haven Cemetery both in Blair. Pastor Barbara Bruneau will officiate. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Knudtson-Mattison American Legion Post #231.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 1, 2014 from 4-7 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Blair and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
