Claire Ann Howe, age 65, of rural Ettrick, formerly of the Wausau area, died on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 in her home.

Claire was born on January 22, 1948 in Wausau to Mack and Winnie (Hoffman) Barnett. She married Robert Howe on October 25, 1997 in Nashua, IA.

Claire enjoyed cooking, baking and decorating cakes, collecting dolls and going to Wal-Mart.

Claire is survived by her husband, Robert; two brothers, Terry (Marie) and Thomas Barnett; a sister, Carole (William) Valenta and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Claire was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 3, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Blair with Pastor Elizabeth Albertson officiating. Burial will be in the Stettin Christian Cemetery in rural Wausau at a later date.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
