Clarence Roman Kulig, age 90, of Whitehall, died on Friday, March 20, 2015 in his home.

Clarence was born on September 17, 1924 in Independence, WI to William and Elizabeth (Wiench) Kulig. He married Theresa Klink on September 9, 1946.

Clarence was employed with the Whitehall Packing Plant and car dealerships in Whitehall. He enjoyed cars, bowling, softball, playing cards, listening to polka music, especially Whoopie John, and was known for the unique meat grinders he built.

Clarence was very active in his community and church. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Whitehall and its Knights of Columbus.

Clarence is survived by his wife, Theresa; two daughters, Barbara (Frank) Slaby and Bonnie Mattson; a brother, Anton (Doris) Kulig; two sisters, Verna Halama and Adeline Puccini; a half-brother, Roland (Doris) Kulig; three half-sisters, Rosemary (Ben) Sosalla, Renita (Art) Bohn and Ruthie Marsolek; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Clarence was preceded in death by a son, Dennis; five brothers, Ben (Ruth), Adolph, Clifford, Edward (Arlene) and William Kulig Jr.; a sister, Eleanor (Art) Drangstveit; two half-brothers, Richard and Robert Kulig; three brothers-in-law, Aloysie Halama, Joe Puccini and Martin Marsolek.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in Saint John's Catholic Church with burial in the Lincoln Cemetery both in Whitehall. Father Woodrow Pace will officiate.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 24, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall where a Christian prayers service will be held at 7:00 p.m. followed by a rosary led by the Knights of Columbus. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
