Cole Lee Anderson, age 17, of West Salem, died on Saturday, December 31, 2016 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Cole was born on January 14, 1999 in Eau Claire, WI to Joel Anderson and Lisa (Kleppen) Blaken. Cole was currently a senior at the Melrose High School.

Cole enjoyed riding his dirt bike, hunting, snowmobiling and spending time with friends.

Cole is survived by his mother, Lisa (special friend, Adam Schumacher) Blaken; his father, Joel Anderson; his brother, Blake Stenberg; two sisters, Jersey and Kiki Blaken; his maternal grandparents, Darrell and Joan Kleppen; his paternal grandparents Marilyn Anderson and Arn Anderson; his aunts and uncles, Rick Peterson, Jason Kleppen, Heidi (Derek) Griffey, Dan (Brenda) Anderson and Vern (Sam) Anderson; many other relatives, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the North Beaver Creek Faith Lutheran Church in rural Ettrick with Pastor David Bersagel officiating. Burial will be in the First Lutheran Cemetery in rural Ettrick at a later date.

Visitation will be Friday, January 6, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. in the North Beaver Creek Lutheran Church in rural Ettrick and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

The Jack Funeral Home in Blair is assisting the family with arrangements.
