Courtney Ellis Schultz, age 32, of Blair, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 15, 2025 in an auto accident.

Courtney was born on March 8, 1993 in LaCrosse to Candace Treague (Hurst) and Gregory Miller.

Courtney graduated from the Blair-Taylor High School in Blair.  She decided to enlist in the United States Marine Corps in December and left for basic training in January.  She graduated combat training from Parris Island and then went to Yuma, AZ where she finished her military career.

Courtney married Justin Schultz in 2013. She and Justin then started their family with two boys, Kenton (10) and Karson (9) where she became a dedicated mother.  They decided it was time to move back to Wisconsin to be closer to their family and later had their daughter, Kassidy (6). Courtney and Justin later divorced but were very devoted co-parents as a team raising their kids.

Courtney had the kids in many sports in which she was on the sidelines as their biggest fan or coaching.  She never missed a game from baseball to wrestling meets and recently started Kassidy in gymnastics.  She loved everything about being a mother.

Courtney started her journey to become a registered nurse after the Marines.  She always said, "Working full time on 3rd. shift, raising the kids to her expectations and going to school was definitely a challenge, but so worth it."  This last summer, she finally got her dream filled to become a registered nurse.

Courtney is survived by her three children, Kenton, Karson and Kassidy; her mother, Candace Treague; step-father, Chip Treague; a brother, Mason Miller; a sister, Shelby Schuld; her grandmother, Judy Hurst and many aunts, uncles, cousins and step-family.

Courtney was preceded in death by her father, Gregory Miller; and grandparents, LaVerne and Patricia Miller and Otha Raymond Hurst.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025 from 4-8 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Blair.  Courtney's family wants everyone to enjoy story telling and sharing memories.

Military honors conducted by the Knudtson-Mattison American Legion Post #231 will be held at 4:00 p.m.
