Creighton Gene Stutlien, age 79, of rural Blair, died on Thursday, April 20, 2017 in the Clearwater Care Center in Eau Claire.

Creighton was born on October 15, 1937 in Whitehall to Sidney and Mildred (Austin) Stutlien. He graduated the Blair High School and served in the United States Army.

Creighton built his own home on Square Bluff and was employed as a mechanic. He enjoyed working on and restoring antique cars, going to auctions and swap meets and was a member of the Chippewa Valley A's Car Club.

Creighton is survived by two daughters, Peggy Stutlien of Galesville and Melanie Bolen of LaCrosse; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a sister, Mary Sekse of Dixon, IL.

In addition to his parents, Creighton was preceded in death by a brother, Lyman and a great-grandson.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fagernes Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery both in rural Blair. Pastor Roger Knutson will officiate. Military rites will be conducted by the Knudtson-Mattison American Legion Post #231.
