Daniel Alvin Franson, age 69, of Boyceville, died on Sunday, August 6, 2017 in the Mayo Clinic Health System-Red Cedar in Menonomie.

Daniel was born on June 22, 1948 in Whitehall to Alvin and Irene (Robinson) Franson of rural Strum. In 1959, Daniel, who was born with multiple disabilities, went to live at the Northern Wisconsin Center in Chippewa Falls. In 2005, Daniel moved into Lamb's Creek Adult Family Home in Boyceville. Although Daniel was unable to talk, walk or communicate as others do, he thrived under the wonderful care given to him by Lamb's Creek owners, George and Stacey Weimer, and their staff.

Daniel is survived by his mother, Irene Franson; his siblings, Paul (Debra) Franson, Mary (Brad) Olson, Peggy (Kirth) Pronschinske and John (Vicki) Franson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Daniel was preceded in death by his father and a baby brother.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall with Mr. Scott Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Bruce Valley Cemetery in rural Strum.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
