Darlene Marie Lyngen, age 82, of Pigeon Falls, formerly of Blair, died on Monday, November 1, 2021 in the Pigeon Falls Health Care Center in Pigeon Falls.

Darlene was born September 18, 1939 to Ernest and Marion (Hanson) Lyngen in Whitehall, WI. She married Archie W. Stendahl Jr. and later divorced.

She enjoyed old country music, dancing, cleaning, helping those in need, loved her sweets (pie and fudge), loved babysitting, cats, feeding the birds, squirrels, rabbits and especially loved her grandchildren.

Darlene is survived by her children, Lesley Casper (Michael Betts) of Sparta and Jennifer (Jody) Guza of Blair; daughter-in-law Kari Stendahl; grandchildren Lucas (Maria) Casper, Nicole (Michael) Durst, Jordan Guza, Janessa Guza, Ethan Stendahl, Zachary Stendahl, Shayli (Adam) Hoff; great-grandchildren, Shawna and Gavin Casper, Briley and Neveah Durst, Averie Hernandez, Harper and Laurel Stendahl and Aubrey Hoff; brothers, Dennis (Nancy) Lyngen, Dale (Sonja) Lyngen Sr. and Dean (Janet) Lyngen; sister-in-law, Donna and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her son, Troy W. Stendahl, her brother, Darrell and special friend, Wallace Neitzke.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 8, 2021 from 4-7 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Blair. Burial will be at a later date.
