Darrell Eugene Lyngen, age 75, of Hixton, died on Monday, March 20, 2017 in his home.

Darrell was born on August 2, 1941 in Whitehall to Ernest and Marion (Hanson) Lyngen. Darrell served his country in the United States Army. He married Donna Foreman on February 23, 1968.

Darrell was employed as a logger and timber buyer and was a partner with Lyngen Brothers Hardwoods. He enjoyed hunting deer, bear, raccoons and coyotes.

Darrell is survived by his wife, Donna; a son, Brian (Vicki) of Blair; two daughters, Tammy (Phineas) Schrock of Blair and Rachel (friend, Josh) Lyngen of Portage; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a sister, Darlene Lyngen of Blair; three brothers, Dennis (Nancy) Lyngen of Blair, Dale (Sonja) Lyngen of Blair and Dean (Janet) Lyngen of Whitehall.

In addition to his parents, Darrell was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Allison Bue.

Graveside services with military rites conducted by the Knudtson-Mattison American Legion Post #231 will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Blair.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Blair.
