David Clarence Herberg, age 74, of Whitehall, died on Sunday, April 21, 2019 in the Gundersen Tri-County Hospital in Whitehall.

David was born on June 28, 1944 in Whitehall to Clarence and Hulda (Hanson) Herberg. He graduated from the Whitehall Memorial High School in 1963 and was president of his sophomore class. After high school, David attended the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse.

David worked for the city of Whitehall and helped many elderly people including his parents and his Uncle Palmer. David enjoyed talking about cars and the Green Bay Packers.

David is survived by two sisters, Mary (Adrian) Morchinek of Fountain City and Georgia (Carl) Lee of Fort Lauderdale, FL; a niece and two nephews.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Glenn Gerdes.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Jack Funeral Home with burial in the Lincoln Cemetery both in Whitehall. Pastor Peter Jonas will officiate. Friends may call one half hour prior to the service.
