Dea B. Fraust age 88, of Neillsville, WI died on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 in the Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI.
Dea was born on January 1, 1925 in North Freedom, WI to Albert and Mabel (Sullivan) Fraust. He Graduated from Prairie du Sac High school. Dea had fond memories of growing up on a farm, He skied on the hills of the farm and continued skiing until the age of 80. He joined the US Army and served from 1944 to 1946 as a paratrooper.
Dea enjoyed life, farming, fishing, hunting. He sold farm equipment for many years; he was known to be one of the best salesmen in the area.
Dea married Gwen Knoop on May 1, 1948 in North Freedom, WI

Dea is survived by his wife Gwen of Blair, WI; Children, Gary (Peachie) Fraust of Holmen, WI; Catherine Fraust of North Freedom, WI; Robert (Debbie) Fraust of Steamboat Springs, CO; and Renee Schmidt of Granite Bay, CA. Four grandchildren, Amy (Chip) Schilling of LaCrosse, WI Jessica (Clayton) McNamara of Ettrick, WI; Timothy Schmidt and Jonathan Schmidt both of Granite Bay, CA. Three great grandchildren Chase, Will and Carson Schilling. One sister VaLara Accola of North Freedom, WI and a nephew Alton Accola of Minneapolis, MN.

Dea was preceded in death by his parents and a son-in-law Jon Schmidt

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at the Jack Funeral Home in Blair, WI. Rev. Steve Wentz will be officiating Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be on Monday, October 7, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Oak Hill Cemetery in North Freedom, WI
