The family of Deloris Jeanette (Herman) Coburn, is saddened to announce her passing on July 28, 2025.

Deloris was born at home in Mindoro on February 22, 1928 to Fredrick and Marie (Stegeman) Herman.  She graduated from the Bangor High School in 1945.

Deloris married Frank "Bud" C. Coburn in the Mount Calvary Lutheran Church parsonage in LaCrosse on September 3, 1949.  Together they farmed in Austin, MN and later in West Salem.  In the fall of 1960, the family moved to Whitehall.

Deloris loved gardening flowers and vegetables and canned most everything.  She did lots of baking, not much was bought from the store.

Deloris belonged to the Homemakers Club in West Salem and was a long time member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Whitehall, serving as Sunday School teacher, on the altar guild and funeral committee.

Deloris is survived by her six children, Chuck Coburn of Amite, LA, John Coburn of Newport, TN, Linda Gunderson of Blair, Paul (Tammie) Coburn of Whitehall, Jay Coburn of Whitehall and Mary (Arne) Fremstad of De Soto, WI; a sister, Carol Jean Leifke of Milton; 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Deloris was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a granddaughter, Kari Coburn; a grandson, Neil Coburn; a brother, Everett Herman; sisters and brothers-in-law, Hazel and Gofland Miller, Joyce and Babe Adams, Harriet and Virgil Bohl, Lois and Ben Buchner and Carol M. Leifke; two daughters-in-law, Dawn M. Coburn and Mary E. Coburn and a son-in-law, Larry Gunderson.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in Our Saviour's Lutheran Church with burial in the Lincoln Cemetery both in Whitehall.  Scott W. Brown will officiate.
