Dennis W. Truax age 64 of Ettrick, WI died on Saturday, February 15, 2014 in his home in Ettrick.

Dennis was born on June 2, 1949 in Galesville, WI to Wayne and Phyllis (Harris) Truax.

Dennis married Carolyn Linberg, and from that union had a son Keith. They later divorced.
He then married Cherylee Lopez and later divorced.
Dennis then married the love of his life Patricia Mattson in Whitehall, WI on November 10, 2000. They renewed their vows in December of 2013.

Denny was employed by the Trempealeau County Highway Dept. for 22 ½ years.
Denny loved all sports and was good at all he did, he will be remembered as being a life long packer fan.

Dennis is survived by his wife Patti of Ettrick, children; Keith (Tracy) Truax of Ettrick; Lannie (Dannelle) Howe of Blair, WI; Layne Howe of Spring Grove, MN; Lance (Jessica) Howe of Blair, WI. Two sisters Margaret Maynard, Cheryl Truax, and a brother Wayne (Shelby) Truax all of Ettrick, WI a brother-in-law Arnold Mattson of Ettrick, a sister-in-law Pearl Mattson of Pigeon Falls, WI 16 grandchildren Laura, Lucas, Lizabeth, Marissa, Loni Kay, Darion, Dillon, Liza, Dalton, Dylan, Destiny, Alexxis, Montana, Cameron, Lauren, Daphny. And a family pet Echo.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, child Lonnie Howe, grandchild Jordyn Howe and two brothers-in-law Jim Maynard and Merlin Mattson.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Living Hope Lutheran Church in Ettrick, WI Pastor Christine Hallemeier will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 21, 2014 from 4 till 8 p.m. also in the church in Ettrick. Private family burial will be held at a later date.
