Donald Thomas Laehn, age 71, of Whitehall, died on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 in the Gundersen Tri-County Hospital in Whitehall.

Donald was born on June 25, 1944 in Mondovi to Clarence and Wanda Vale (Kent) Laehn. Donald married Clarice Nordby on November 7, 1963 in Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Whitehall.

Donald worked at the Whitehall Packing Plant in Whitehall and later for Accelerated Genetics prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Whitehall Volunteer Fire Department, Our Saviour's Lutheran Church and a member of AA for over thirty years.

Donald enjoyed fishing, hunting and taking his grandsons fishing up north.

Donald is survived by his wife, Clarice; two children, Les Laehn and
Wanda (Troy) Peters both of Whitehall; four grandchildren, Katherine and Kristina Laehn, Matthew and Mitchell Peters; two brothers, Loren (Helen) Laehn of New Lisbon and Gene Laehn of Gilmanton.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by a son, Russell; a granddaughter, Angelica and a brother and sister who were twins, Lee and Leona.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Saviour's Lutheran Church with burial in the Lincoln Cemetery both in Whitehall. Pastor Yvonne Marshall will officiate.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 2-5 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
