Dorothy Cora Vito, age 94, of Whitehall, died on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 in the Pigeon Falls Health Care Center in Pigeon Falls.

Dorothy was born on January 9, 1923 in Blue Island, IL to Henry and Hulda (Beck) Pucik. She married John Vito on August 9, 1943 in South Bend, WA. Dorothy and John moved from the Chicago, IL area to Northfield, WI to enjoy their retirement years together. John preceded Dorothy in death on July 9, 1983.

Dorothy thoroughly enjoyed her friends and family. If you ever needed a relative's address or birth date, Dorothy knew it. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking and spending time with friends. Everyone looked forward to Dorothy's bundt cakes and eclairs made from scratch.

Dorothy loved staying in touch with all of her nieces and nephews. Dorothy's friends meant a lot to her as well, Ernie, Sharon, Kevin, Dennis, Julie and Dr. and Mrs. Reuben Adams, to mention a few.

In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by three brothers, Vernon, Elmer F. and Lester Pucik.

As per Dorothy's request, there will be no formal services. Dorothy will be buried next her husband, John, in the Beverly Cemetery in Blue Island, IL on Monday, March 13, 2017.

Dorothy's family would like to thank the Pigeon Falls Health Care Center for their loving care of Dorothy the past four years.

The Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall assisted the family with arrangements.
