Edward Joseph Guza, age 85, of rural Taylor, died on Monday, May 20, 2019 in his home.

Edward was born on September 21, 1933 in Independence to Joseph and Gertrude (Puchalla) Guza and was raised on the family farm in Independence.

Edward married Shirley Kastad on April 27, 1957 in SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Independence and celebrated their 62 ^nd . anniversary this year.

Edward loved farming and still lived on the farm they purchased in 1960. Ed loved tractor pulling. He enjoyed participating and watching his son and grandson's pull in the WTPA pulls and also going to Tomah to watch them pull. In September of last year, he was able to pull his antique tractors at the Blair Cheese Fest at the age of 85.

Ed also liked to watch horse pulling, watching WWE and western shows. Edward was a member and delegate for AMPI for several years.

Edward is survived by his wife Shirley; four children, Jeffrey (Laurie) Guza of Taylor, Jaime Guza of Sparta, Laurie (Terry) Byrns of Black River Falls and Jody (Jennifer) Guza of Blair; six grandchildren, Jeremy (Kristin) Guza, Lucas (Rose) Byrns, Melissa (Jesse) Lutz, Jordan (Paige Combs) Guza, Brian (Joanna) Guza and Janessa Guza; four great-grandchildren, Logan, Theodore and Penelope Guza and Joel Lutz.

In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by a sister, Bernice Korpal and a brother, Clarence Guza.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, May 28. 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Blair with Pastor Barbara Knutson officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
