Eileen Genevieve Johnson, age 84, of rural Ettrick, died on Saturday, August 5, 2017 in the Gundersen Health System in LaCrosse.

Eileen was born on October 28, 1932 on the home farm in rural Ettrick to Orrin and Tena (Anderson) Bue. She married LeRoy E. Johnson on June 28, 1952 in the North Beaver Creek Faith Lutheran Church in rural Ettrick. Eileen and LeRoy owned and operated Johnson Meat Processing in Blair prior to their retirement. LeRoy preceded Eileen in death on August 13, 2016.

Eileen enjoyed spending time with her family and gun deer hunting, shooting her last buck at the age of 82. She also enjoyed watching the Milwaukee Brewers and Wisconsin Badger basketball.

Eileen was a member of the North Beaver Creek Faith Lutheran Church in rural Ettrick her entire life and was active in its various organizations.

Eileen is survived by four children, Lance (Carey) Johnson of Blair, Linda (Dave) Justmann of Somerset, Wade (Marion) Johnson of Galesville and Wynette Johnson of Bartlett, TN; five grandchildren, Eric, Adam, Dawn, Bill and Mirachelle; six great-grandchildren, SkyMarie, Chance, Annabel, Jet, Isaac and Ben; a great-great-granddaughter, Korine; a brother, Vernon (Carol) Bue of Ettrick and a sister, Bernice Olson of Blair.

Eileen was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the North Beaver Creek Faith Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery both in rural Ettrick. Pastor Anna Sorenson will officiate.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 9, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. in the North Beaver Creek Faith Lutheran Church in rural Ettrick and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.

The Jack Funeral Home in Blair is assisting the family with arrangements.
