ELIZABETH MARIE (LUNDE) HJORNEVIK, of Taylor passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017, at the age of 82.

"Liz" was born December 5, 1934, in Northfield, WI, to Chester and Laura (Berge) Lunde and attended the Taylor Schools, graduating with the class of 1952.

On June 29, 1968, she married Gerald Hjornevik in Niles, IL. After returning to the Taylor area, they owned and operated The Blair Press for 27 years until their retirement in 1999.  Liz loved her country western and old time polka music. She had been an avid snowmobiler and was active in various community organizations, both in Blair and Taylor.

Liz is survived by her husband Gerald of Taylor; two daughters Beverly (Roger M.) Nelson of Blair and Kirsten (Charles) Nelson of North Prairie, WI; one grandson, Nels (Katie) Nelson of Winona, MN; two step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary (Eugene) Berg of Belvidere, IL; and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, David Lunde.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 28, at 11:00 a.m. at the Taylor Lutheran Church. Pastor Mara Ahles-Iverson will officiate. Burial will be in the Northfield Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Jack Funeral Home in Blair from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
