OBITUARY
FOR
ELAINE N. HAMILTON
BLAIR, WI

Elaine Nellie Hamilton, age 84, of rural Blair, died on Sunday, March 9, 2014 in the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in LaCrosse.

Elaine was born on July 23, 1929 in Melrose to Albert and Della (Maack) Dutcher. She married Glenn A. Hamilton on September 14, 1947 in Melrose. Glenn preceded Elaine in death on December 4, 2005.

Elaine and Glenn owned and published the Trempealeau County Shopper in Ettrick. Elaine worked as an office manager at the Arrow Shopper in Ettrick for many years.

Elaine enjoyed time with family, dancing, traveling, casinos, spending time at the lake and playing cards for money. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and helped organize the Blair Cheese Fest parade for many years.

Elaine is survived by five children, Vicki Oberg of Brooklyn Park, MN, Holly (Rod) Anderson of Blair, Ron (Colleen) Hamilton of White Bear Lake, MN, Ellen (Steve) Touchette of Blair and Mark (Lois) Hamilton of Nixa, MO; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Elaine was preceded in death by three brothers, Henry Maack, Leonard and Raymond Dutcher and two sisters, Mildred Kvistad and Iva Rumppe.

Private family services will be held.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 12, 2014 from 4-7 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Blair. Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Blair.
