Elsie Grace Knutson, age 93, of Blair, formerly of Ettrick, died on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 in the Grand View Care Center in Blair.

Elsie was born on December 30, 1925 in the town of Gale, Trempealeau County, WI to Harry and Lena (Stensven) Ekern. She was baptized and confirmed in the Ettrick Lutheran Church in Ettrick which is currently named Living Hope Lutheran Church.

Elsie attended school at Frenchville and Ettrick. She married George R. Knutson of Blair and they later divorced.

Elsie was employed at Lake Center Industries prior to her retirement. She also did housekeeping for local families.

Elsie is survived by three children, John (Simonne) Knutson of LaCrosse, Robert (Cindy) Knutson of Ettrick and George W. (Laurie) Knutson of Black River Falls; her grandchildren, James Michael (Christina) Knutson of Florida, Theresa (special friend, John Slosser) Knutson of Black River Falls, Matthew Knutson of Eau Claire, Angela Knutson of Woodville, WI, Nicholas (special friend, Alicia Stenberg) Knutson of Melrose, Denis (Lance McNaughton) Lee of Madison and Heather Lee of Blair; several great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild, two sisters, Shirley Hughes of Phillips and Anna Sorenson of Galesville; two brothers, Roland (Ann) Ekern of Ettrick and Raymond Ekern of Galesville.

In addition to her parents, Elsie was preceded in death by a daughter, Ann Lee; a son-in-law, Jeff Lee and several brothers and sisters.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. in the Ettrick Public Cemetery in rural Ettrick. Pastor Kary Jonas will officiate.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Blair.
