Eunice Orpha Lovlien, age 97, of Pigeon Falls, formerly of Northfield and Whitehall, died on Saturday, November 29, 2014 in the Pigeon Falls Health Care Center in Pigeon Falls.

Eunice was born on March 28, 1917 to Ernest and Olga (Haralsrud) Fredrickson on the home farm between York and Northfield. She attended school in York and graduated from the Whitehall High School. Eunice rode in the first school bus that went from Northfield to Whitehall. She married Paul Lovlien on August 31, 1940. Paul preceded Eunice in death on July 27, 1985.

Eunice and Paul lived in Black River Falls for a few years prior to moving to Whitehall in 1942. Eunice moved to Pigeon Falls in 2008.

Eunice enjoyed traveling, needlework, visiting with family, coffee with her friends and especially loved Hannah and Jacob.

Eunice is survived by numerous extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. In the Northfield Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery both in Northfield. Pastor Mara Ahles-Iverson will officiate.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 4, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
