Florence Victoria Larson, age 99, of Pigeon Falls, died on Thursday, January 2, 2014 in the Pigeon Falls Health Care Center in Pigeon Falls.

Florence was born on October 23, 1914 at home in Larkin Valley, rural Blair, WI to Elmer and Selma (Johnson) Anderson. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Blair and graduated from the Blair High School.

In 1928 the family moved to the Pigeon Falls area and lived in Daggett Coulee. Florence married Helge O. Larson on September 2, 1935. Together they farmed in Daggett Coulee for several years. They later moved to Chippewa Falls where Florence was employed at Northern Colony for 17 years.

After Helge's death Florence moved back to Daggett Coulee to live with her mother. She worked as a nursing assistant at the Tri-County Memorial Hospital prior to her retirement.

Florence is survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Florence was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald, Leonard and Karl Anderson; a sister, Evelyn Anderson Kaas and a sister-in-law, Fern Anderson.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. in Peace Lutheran Church of Pigeon Falls with burial in the Pigeon Creek Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery both in Pigeon Falls. Pastor Mary Ann Bowman will officiate.

Friends may call from noon until the time of service.
