Gerald D. Johnson, age 49, of Taylor, died on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 in the Black River Memorial Hospital in Black River Falls.

Gerald was born on June 3, 1968 in Black River Falls, to David and Charlotte (Bue) Johnson.

Gerald was someone that would help anyone. Gerald enjoyed fishing, hunting and old western books or shows. Gerald loved spending time with his family and friends, and was so excited for the arrival of his second grandchild, a little boy.

Gerald is survived by his parents David and Charlotte of Taylor; a son Jarrod (Brittany) of Savannah, GA; brothers Duane (Kelly) Johnson of Merrillan, Allen of Ettrick and Roger of Blair; granddaughter Jackie of Savannah, GA; numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and Jennifer, Jarrod's mother, whom he remained friends with after their divorce.

Gerald was preceded in death by his grandparents, Silas and Myrtle Johnson, Roy and Inez Bue; uncles, Larry Bue, Robert Bue and Silas Duane Johnson; aunts Joyce Jefferys and Marlys Schultz.

Memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 4-7:00 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Blair.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 7:00 p.m., following the visitation in the Jack Funeral Home in Blair. Pastor Mara Ahles-Iverson will officiate.

The Jack Funeral Home in Blair is assisting the family with arrangements.
