Gloria Ann Suchla, age 82, of Whitehall, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully into God's hands in her home on Saturday, August 5, 2017.

Gloria was born on July 23, 1935 in Chicago, IL to Henry and Phyllis (Halvarson) Moe. She graduated from the Arcadia High School in 1953. Gloria married Jerome Suchla on February 19, 1955 in Arcadia.

Gloria was employed at Midwest Gas Company prior to her retirement. She was a member of Saint John's Catholic Church in Whitehall and a member of its Altar Society.

Gloria was a loving, compassionate wife, mother and grandmother. She always put her family first and enjoyed the company of many close friends.

Gloria had a love of music and family. She also loved her card games with friends and enjoyed playing music with her dear friend, Carol Moham. Gloria always had a smile and kind word for all in her life.

Gloria is survived by her husband, Jerome; two daughters, Karen (Daryl) Amos and Bonnie (Paul) Konkel; five grandchildren, Jeremy, Matt, Kyle, Ian and Melissa; five great-grandchildren, a sister, Betty (Richard) Helgerson; a brother, Roger (Sandra) Moe; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by two grandsons, Joshua and Jacob and her father and mother-in-law, Aloyse and Mary Suchla.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint John's Catholic Church with burial in the Lincoln Cemetery both in Whitehall. Father Kennedy will officiate.

Friends may call from from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

The Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall is assisting the family with arrangements.
