Harold DuWayne Koch "Cookie", age 92, of Whitehall, died on Friday, August 27, 2021 in the Gundersen Tri-County Care Center in Whitehall.

Harold was born on March 7, 1929 in Wabasha, MN.

Harold was a World War II veteran. He was proud to participate in the Freedom Honor flight with his son, Gene Koch. He retired from LCL Transit Trucking Co. with a million mile safety club two times over. Harold was also a volunteer driver for the VA and Meals on Wheels.

Harold was a kind, loyal and spiritual man who always helped others.

He was a loving brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, uncle and a friend. He enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to music, dancing, fishing, camping and riding his Harley.

Harold is survived by his sister, Rita Leiseth (Einar); Elizabeth Koch and their eleven children, Harold (Linda), Sharon Randall (Terry), Mary Lou Anderson (Rick), Gene (Lisa), Theresa Jochum (Pete), Joyce Swieton (Joe), Bob, Bill (Donna), Cindy Osborn (Frank), Charlie (Helen), Tammy (Keith), also by Angela and their two children, Duwayne and Angel Taylor (Justin);  42 grandchildren, 68 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his son, Gary; four grandchildren, Scott, Keith, Tina and Robert; two great-grandchildren, George and Louisa and a great-great-granddaughter, Adaline.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall with Chaplain Karl Schearer officiating.  Military honors will be conducted by the Hutchins-Stendahl American Legion Post #191.

Friends may come up to one hour prior to the service.

Following the service, family and friends are welcome to come and celebrate Harold's life at 244 North Main, Cochrane WI 54622 at the community center.
