Hunter Scott Dykstra, beloved son, brother and soul mate, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 24 on Monday, December 12, 2022 in Taylor.

Hunter was born on January 14, 1998 in Black River Falls to Scott and Ronda (Free) Dykstra.  He graduated from the Blair-Taylor High School in 2016 where he played football and grew a love for it.  After graduation, Hunter went to work for Knutson Roofing and Countryside Lefse Company.

Hunter's love for the outdoors included hunting, camping, hiking, snowmobiling and ATVing.  His indoor love was hanging with family and friends, playing his Xbox and spending time with friends, the love of his life, Lilly and their two dogs, Oscar and Marvin.

Hunter, like his Dad, had a great love for the game of football and cheering on the Green Bay Packers (GO PACK GO!) which was a weekly get together in the garage.  Unlike most, pod casts was another hobby that filled his time.

Hunter is survived by his father, Scott (Kandace Witcraft); his mother Ronda Cowlishaw; two brothers, Joshua (Jess) Gall and Trenton Dykstra; the love of his life, Lilly Mock and his grandparents, Jimmie (JoAnn) Free and Diana Gross.

Hunter was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph and Sandy Dykstra and his aunt, Kim Paredes.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. in Blair Lutheran Church West in Blair. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.

As Hunter would say, "I'm not here for a long time, I'm here for a good time!"
