Ivan Raymond Stenberg, age 85, of Blair, died on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 in the Grand View Care Center in Blair.

Ivan was born on May 5, 1929 in French Creek, WI to Oscar and Emilia (Buxrud) Stenberg. He married Patricia Jean Metzler on September 19, 1959 in Milwaukee. Patricia preceded Ivan in death on June 8, 2007.

Ivan and Patricia owned and operated Stenberg Lumber Company in Blair, farmed and enjoyed traveling. Ivan was a member of the Blair-Preston Fire Department, the FFA Alumuni and the Greenbriar Apartments Board of Directors.

Ivan is survived by his daughter, Laura (friend, Pat) Stenberg of Oconomowoc; a son, Mark Stenberg of Blair; eight grandchildren,
Ashley, Vannah, Christian and Molly Stenberg, Kaylyn Povlovich, Kristen, Tony and Becky Hilbert; two sisters, Merle Dahl and Jean (Harold) Johnson both of Blair; a brother, John Stenberg of New Berlin.

In addition to his parents and wife, Ivan was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ivana Stenberg; three sisters, Dorothy Helke, Irene Nelson and Esther Solberg; three brothers, Lloyd, Leonard and Orvis Stenberg and also a baby brother and a baby sister.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, April 27, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in Saint Ansgar's Catholic Church with burial in the Rest Haven Cemetery both in Blair. Father Woodrow Pace will officiate.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 26, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Blair where a Christian prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. followed by a parish rosary.

Friends may also call one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
