James Aloysius Breska, age 76, of rural Blair, died on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 in the May Clinic Health System in LaCrosse.

James was born on November 21, 1935 to Aloysius and Thelma (Stendahl) Breska. He graduated from the Whitehall High School in 1954. In 1957 James enlisted with the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1959.

James married Elsie Husmoen on August 4, 1962 in the Fagernes Lutheran Church in rural Blair. Jim and Elsie moved to Kenosha where Jim worked in the auto industry for 31 years. He was also involved in the Kenosha City Little League program. After his retirement, Jim and Elsie and their family moved back to Whitehall. Jim took up painting houses, he like to make things look good again.

Jim touched the lives and hearts of many by his kindness, his wonderful sense of humor and his true love of life. His love for his family, children and grandchildren is his legacy in life.

James is survived by two sons, Wayne (Shari) Breska of Whitehall and Paul (Krista Kierstyn) Breska of Blair; four grandchildren, Grace, James, Ally and Joseph Breska; a brother, Andrew (Betty) Lundquist of New Port Richey, FL; a sister, Ellen (Duane) Roesler of Hustisford, WI.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 6, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Fagernes Lutheran Church with burial in church cemetery both in rural Blair.
Pastor Rhia Wilin will officiate.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 5, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Blair and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday
