Janice Arleen Johnson, age 90, of Whitehall, died on Thursday, August 1, 2024 in Dove Healthcare in Osseo.

Janice was born on December 6, 1933 in Eau Claire to Harold and Mabel (Giese) Johnson.  She graduated from the Arcadia High School in 1952.  Janice was united in marriage to Ralph Johnson on December 23, 1953 in Vancouver, WA.  They settled in the Arcadia area until moving to Whitehall in 1968.  Together they raised three children, Gregory, Jean and Cheryl.

Janice was a teacher's aide at the Whitehall Elementary School for many years and loved working with the children. She was an avid reader and loved puzzles.  Janice also enjoyed baking, cooking and embroidery work and was great at them all.  Janice was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Whitehall.

Janice is survived by her husband of 70 years,  Ralph; a daughter, Jean (Dan) Lemon of Colorado; two sisters, Judy Anderson of Chatfield, MN and Shirley (Raymond) Zeller of West Concord, MN;  a brother, John (Nancy) Johnson of Rochester, MN; a sister-in-law, Darleen Bergerson of Eau Claire and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by a son, Gregory; a daughter, Cheryl; three brothers, Ronald, DeWayne and Bruce Johnson; a sister, Sharon Johnson as well as many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

Private family services will be held.
