On the morning of February 28, 2022, Janice Elaine Larson, surrounded by her loving daughters and sweetheart, Dennis "Moose" Anderson, died peacefully at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire.

Janice was born on August 8, 1934 to Gilbert and Olga (Dahl) Berg.  She grew up on the family farm with her two brothers and two sisters.  Her love of music and dance led her to her soul mate, Maynard Larson.  They married on May 3, 1952 and shared five daughters and 57 years together until Maynard's passing on October 15, 2009.

Throughout the years, Janice enjoyed horseback riding, tractor pulls, sewing, crocheting, playing cards, dancing, travel, her church, her friends and especially her family.  Until her passing, she and her sweetheart, Moose, enjoyed bingo, bean bags, motorcycle and side by side rides.  Prior to retirement in 1999, Janice worked several occupations while maintaining the farm.

Welcoming her into Heaven are her parents; husband, Maynard; sister, Jeanette Brooks; brother, Vernon Berg; several brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews and special friend, Earl Ruff.

Janice is sadly missed by her daughters, Londa (Mark) Spaeth, Kari (Randy) Tollefson, Jeanne (Sam Melby) Skorstad, Lori (Travis Johnson) Larson and Heidi (Dan) Sobotta; nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, a sister, Mavis Knutson; a brother, Glenn (Yvonne) Berg; a sister-in-law, Lois Berg; many nieces and nephews and sweetheart, Moose Anderson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in Peace Lutheran of Pigeon Falls with burial in the Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery both in Pigeon Falls.  Pastor Mary Ann Bowman will officiate.

Visitation will be Friday, March 11, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
