Jeanne Marie Skorstad, age 92, of Blair, died on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 in the Grand View Care Center in Blair.

Jeanne was born on June 16, 1925 in Blair to Clifford and Esther (Thurston) Skogstad. She was the Blair Egg Festival Queen in 1941 and graduated from the Blair High School in 1944. Jeanne then attended the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse.

Jeanne married John M. Skorstad on April 18, 1946 in Blair. They lived in Blair until 1958 when they moved to East Troy, WI. In 1965, they moved to New Berlin, WI. Jeanne taught elementary school at the Orchard Lane Elementary School in New Berlin for twenty years.

Jeanne was a member of Christ The Victor Lutheran Church in New Berlin for fifty years and was active in its various organizations. In 2017, Jeanne and her husband, John, moved back to Blair and both lived at the Grand View Care Center in Blair.

Jeanne is survived by her husband, John; her children, Sheila (Pat "Mondo") Mondloch of East Troy, Jon (Kathy) Skorstad of Burlington, Marty (Sue) Skorstad of Lenexa, KS, Pete (Mary) Skorstad of Muskego and Dave (Tonya) Skorstad of Menomonie Falls; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Chuck) Hessler and their children, Kara (Briar Bradley), Erin and Ryan; Mike (Lisa) Koch and their children, Autumn and Anthony; Jodi (Steve) Sobieski and their son, Clay; Shawn (Kendra) Skorstad; Jeff (Patti) Skorstad; Krista Moore and her children, Brittney and Bailey; Beth Skorstad; Katie (Dan) Naidu and their children, Ethan, Dillen and Brynlee; Matt Skorstad and his children, Mason and Braden; Lindsay (fiancé, Kevin Holentunder) Skorstad and Emily Skorstad; a sister-in-law, Marie Brovold of Galesville and two nieces, Ann (Roland) Ekern of Ettrick and Sharon Lebbaken of LaCrosse.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Blair Lutheran Church in Blair with Pastor Anna Sorenson officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Blair at a later date.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service.

Memorials may be designated to Christ The Victor Lutheran Church in New Berlin.
