Jessica  Lee Day, age 77, of Eau Claire, died on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 in her home.

Jessica was born on July 10, 1948 in LaCrosse to Robert and Alice (Nelsestuen) Houghtaling. She and her family moved to Victorville, CA in 1954, graduated from high school in 1966 and returned to Wisconsin in 1967.

Jessica was employed as a telephone operator and also owned and operated Jessica's Frozen Custard Restaurant in Milwaukee.

Jessica is survived by her sister, Anita (Gary) Semb of Whitehall; five nephews, two nieces and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, Jessica was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert  and Virgil.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. in the French Creek Lutheran Cemetery in rural Ettricck.
