Joel Allen Stevens, age 67, of Blair, died on Thursday, January 10, 2019 in the Gundersen Tri-County Hospital in Whitehall.

Joel was born on September 10, 1951 in Mauston, WI to Leonard and Janice (Clark) Stevens. Joel married Lynette Berzinski on August 3, 1974 in Ettrick and they later divorced. Joel married Sonja Semb on September 4, 1999 in Blair. Sonja preceded Joel in death on March 28, 2010.

Joel served in the United States Army during the Viet Nam War. He was employed with Whitehall Specialties as a forklift operator. Joel enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Joel is survived by his four children, Kendra Stevens of Cochrane, Joseph (Nichole) Stevens of Whitehall, Andy (Nissa) Stevens of Whitehall and Amber (Armando) Ontiveros of Whitehall; seven grandchildren, Maranda, Tim, Cody, Joe Jr., Hailey, Alex and Jovanni; a great-granddaughter, Loretta; a sister, Aloha (Cecil) Peters of Black River Falls and a brother, Dale (Cindy) Stevens of Winona, MN.

In addition to his parents and wife, Joel was preceded in death by a son, Nathan and two brothers, Lenny and Dennis.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in Blair Lutheran Church West (Zion) with burial in the Rest Haven Cemetery both in Blair. Pastor Peter Jonas will officiate.

Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Knudtson-Mattison American Legion Post #231.
