John D. Kamrowski Jr., age 75, of Ettrick, died on Saturday, October 7, 2017, in his home in Ettrick.

John was born on August 31, 1942 in Minneapolis, MN to John and Pauline (Koopman) Kamrowski. John worked as a dairy farmer, a bar owner, and was also employed with Winona Industry, Schwab, American Plumbing, Winona Plumbing, Keller Construction and was a co-owner of J&K Trucking.

He married Barbara Albrecht on January 12, 1963 in Minnesota City, MN. John was blessed with many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren through their union in marriage.

John enjoyed spending time driving his collector cars in the country, vacationing, visiting casinos, watching old time television shows and construction auctions.

John is survived by his wife, Barbara; seven children, Tim Kamrowski of Woodville, Joyce (Randy) Payne of Sparta, Susan (Tony) Lucey of Cuba City, Kevin (Laurie) Kamrowski of Melrose, Donald (Kelly) Kamrowski of LaCrosse, Meloney Howe of Ettrick and Lynn Kamrowski of Holmen; three siblings, Bob (Sandy) Kamrowski of Fountain City, Ken (Troy) Kamrowski of Henderson, NV and Cindy (Brad) Krause of Buffalo City and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded death by four brothers-in-law, Herbert Groth, Richard Pagel, Arnold Mueller and Darrell Albrecht.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the South Beaver Creek Lutheran Church in rural Ettrick with Pastor John Ashland officiating. A lunch will be served following the service. Burial will be held at later date.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 9-11 a.m. before the service at the South Beaver Creek Lutheran Church in rural Ettrick.

The Jack Funeral Home in Blair is assisting the family with arrangements.
