John Martin Skorstad, age 94, formerly of Blair, died on Thursday, December 26, 2019.

John was born on October 6, 1925. He married Jeanne Marie Skogstad on April 18, 1946. They lived in Blair until 1958 when they moved to East Troy. In 1965 they moved to New Berlin and in 2017 they moved back to Blair. Jeanne preceded John in death on April 18, 2018.

John is survived by his children, Sheila (Patrick "Mondo") Mondloch of East Troy, Jon (Kathy) Skorstad of Burlington, Marty (Sue) Skorstad of Lenexa, KS, Peter (Mary) Skorstad of Muskego and David (Tanya) Skorstad of Menomonie Falls; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Chuck) Koch-Hessler, Michael (Lisa) Koch, Jodi (Steve) Sobieski, Shawn (Kendra) Skorstad, Jeff (Patty) Skorstad, Krista Moore, Katie (Dan) Naidu, Matt (Lesley) Skorstad, Lindsay (Kevin) Holentunder and Emily Skorstad. John is also survived by several great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in Blair Lutheran Church West with burial in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery both in Blair. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.

The Jack Funeral Home in Blair is assisting the family with arrangements.
