John-Wayne H. Clemens "Clemmy", age 45, of Blair, died after a long battle from muscular dystrophy on Saturday, January 8, 2022 in the Gundersen Tri-County Hospital in Whitehall.

John-Wayne was born on July 23, 1976 in Charlotte, North Carolina to Robert Clemens and Patricia (Gilmore) Beier.

John-Wayne married Melissa Matchey on September 4, 2004 in the North Beaver Creek First Lutheran Church in rural Ettrick.

John-Wayne was a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan and lived for football. He loved coaching children and was a loving husband, father, friend, brother and son.

John-Wayne is survived by his wife, Melissa; two children, Paige and Austin; mother, Patricia (Scooter) Beier; siblings, Alicia (Joel) Goetting and Les (Kira) Beier; nieces, Harley (Gavin) Benson, Kylee Matchey and Izzy Crebo and his nephew, Kolby Crebo.

John-Wayne was preceded in death by his grandparents on both sides; Bob Clemens; brother-in-law, Bobby Matchey and many aunts and uncles.

"I'm a coach because of the kids and the passion I have for the game and the sport itself. There is no better feeling than teaching a child the importance of discipline, hard work, team effort, dedication, determination and the heart it takes to win not only in sports but in life."

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 3-8 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Blair.
