Joshua Scott Hanson, age 47, of Ettrick, died on Friday, October 25, 2024 at his home.

Joshua was born on March 4, 1977 in LaCrosse  to Scott and Joye (Vehrenkamp) Hanson.

Josh graduated from the Blair-Taylor High School in 1995 and loved participating in all sports.  He was married and divorced from Kari Spence and together they had a daughter, Kaitlyn.

Joshua currently owned and operated Hog Daddy's Bar in Ettrick.  He was an avid Wisconsin sports fan, especially the Green Bay Packers.

Joshua is survived by his daughter, Kaitlyn (Justin) Smart; his grandchildren,  Brody, Teagan and Briar Smart; his parents, Scott and Joye Hanson;  his grandmother, Patricia Hanson; aunts and uncles, Willie (Tammy) Vehrenkamp, Wanda Vehrenkamp, Jay (Linda) Vehrenkamp, Scott Vehrenkamp and Tab (Nancy) Kindschy; two nieces, Daizy and Vivian Woof; two nephews, Henry Woof and Oliver Lloyd and several cousins.

Joshua was preceded in death by a sister, Jacalyn Hanson; grandparents, Dick and Darby Vehrenkamp and Art Hanson and an uncle, Wayne Vehrenkamp.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in Blair Lutheran Church West (Zion) with burial in the Rest Haven Cemetery both in Blair.  Pastor Paul Sannerud will officiate.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 3, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Blair Lutheran Church West (Zion) and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Ettrick Lions Club, the Lake Henry dredging project or the charity of your choice.
