Kaden Michael Villafuerte, loving son, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025.

Kaden was born on October 6, 2004 in LaCrosse to Melissa (Benz) Villafuerte and Zeferino Villafuerte Mendoza.

Kaden grew up surrounded by the love of his family and friends.  He graduated from the Whitehall Memorial High School in 2023.

Kaden was known for his warm smile, a huge heart, his hard working spirit and the joy he found in the outdoors, whether it was hunting in the woods, fishing on the lake, practicing carpentry or working on cars or trucks.  Hs taxidermy was something he was very proud of.  His love for nature reflected the strength and peace he carried within.

Kaden is survived by his father, Zeferino Villafuerte Mendoza; his mother, Melissa Benz; grandparents, Gary and Ardis Benz, Dawn Caldrone, Zeferino Villafuerte Castillo and Maria del Rosario Mendoza Guzman; uncles, Michael (Nancy) Benz, Billy (Holly) Benz, Christopher (Catie) Benz, Gary Northcott, Brian (Trish) Northcott, Mauricio Villafuerte and Javier Villafuerte; aunts, Brenda  (Jerry) Suchanek and Veronica Villafuerte.

Kaden was preceded in death by his grandfather, Salvator Caldrone; great-grandparents, David Mendoza, Guadalupe Guzman, Alfonso Villafuerte, Trinidad Castillo, Lucille Schave, Raymond and Doris Benz and a cousin, Joshua Bergeron.

Kaden's kindness and laughter touched so many.  Though his time with us was far too short, Kaden's legacy lives on in the memories he created and the love he shared.  His life reminds us to embrace each day fully, to cherish family and to find joy in simple moments outdoors.

A prayer service will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall with Father Kyle officiating.
