Karen "Rhoda" Ruth Berger, age 71, of rural Ettrick, died on Monday, August 17, 2015 in the Gundersen Tri-County Hospital in Whitehall.

Karen was born on March 3, 1944 in Bangor, WI to Harlen and Esther (Johnson) Rodenberg. She was baptized and confirmed in the North Beaver Creek First Lutheran Church in rural Ettrick. Karen married Leslie Berger on December 9, 1967 in Blair.

Karen was employed at ETCO in Ettrick for twenty years and then for TRW for twenty years. She enjoyed collecting Cabbage Patch Dolls and salt and pepper shakers, sewing, embroidery and Elvis Presley.

Karen is survived by her husband, Leslie; two daughters, Becky (Lorin) Christenson of Blair and Jodi (Virgil) Berger of Arcadia; four grandchildren, Scottie, Brittany, Shayla and Lexie; two great-grandchildren, Adriana and Brynn; a step-grandchild, JC.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the South Beaver Creek Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery both in rural Ettrick. Pastor John Ashland will officiate.

Visitation will be Friday, August 21, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. in the church and also one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
