Katherine "Pooh" Mary Spangberg, age 58, of rural Strum, died on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 in Dove Healthcare in Osseo.

Katherine was born on December 12, 1959 in Mondovi to Woodrow and Bertha (Espeseth) Strumness. She married Brian Spangberg on June 24, 1978 in Eleva.

Katherine enjoyed baking, golfing, flowers, snowmobiling, cross country skiing and especially her grandchildren.

Katherine is survived by her husband, Brian; three children, Kyle Spangberg of Eleva, Chad (Angie) Spangberg of Mondovi and LeeAnne (Mathew) Haugen of Fall Creek; ten grandchildren, Kyla, Olivia, Anna, Avery, Ethan, Gabriel, Elijah, Isaac, Noah and Nathanael; two brothers, Mike (Yolanda) Strumness of Eleva and Morris Strumness of Independence; two sisters, Sandy (Ronald) Peterson of Mondovi and Brenda (Todd) Klopp of Wyoming.

In addition to her parents, Katherine was preceded in death by a grandson, Chris.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church in Whitehall with Pastor Rob Buhl and Dr. Larry Guthrie officiating. Burial will be in the Eleva Cemetery in Eleva at a later date.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
