Kenneth (Ken) Wayne Johnson, 77, of Ettrick, died peacefully in his home on Sunday, August 14, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.

Serving proudly in the U.S. Navy after high-school, Ken returned to Ettrick where he owned and operated Ken's Electric for over 25 years. He was a fulfilled business owner and enjoyed his work until his retirement.

Married in 1968 to Shirley (Severson), the love of his life for 48 years, they settled in a house his grandfather built just outside of Ettrick, in Beaches Corner, to raise their family. Over the years Ken enjoyed many hobbies, but spending time with his family was amongst his favorite.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Shirley; daughters, Stacy, Kim (Stacey), and Angela (Mark); sisters, Cleo East and Janette Williams; grandchildren, Jackie, Jacob and Jesse Pientok, Carly and Sydney Christenson and many more relatives and friends. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Carlyle and Fern Johnson.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Living Hope Lutheran Church in Ettrick with Pastor Kary Jonas officiating. Burial with military rites will be in the Ettrick Public Cemetery in Ettrick.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 4-7 p.m. in the Living Hope Lutheran Church in Ettrick and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Mayo Clinic Healthcare System Hospice, 620 11th Street S., LaCrosse, Wisc., 54601.
