Kenneth Barry Neperud, 73, of rural Pigeon Falls, passed away after struggling with Lewy Body Dementia on April 8 ^th 2018 at the Trempealeau County Health Care Center nursing home facility where he resided the past 3 ½ years.

Ken was born July 6 ^th 1944 to Helmer & Irene (Jacobson) Neperud.  He attended grade school in Pigeon Falls and graduated from Whitehall High School in 1962.  Ken served in the Army as a heavy-equipment mechanic in Fort Stewart, Georgia.  He worked a variety of jobs including route sales for the Coca-Cola Company where his love for Coca-Cola memorabilia began.  He also worked for Old Dutch Foods for 30 years in route sales.  He won awards including several fishing trips.  If you met the Old Dutch truck he was probably waving.  At age of 62 he retired and provided transportation for Trempealeau County ADRC and Veterans Services participants.

Ken married Lois (Holstad) in 1984.  Between them they had 7 children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Ken is survived by daughters, Kathryn Gjerseth of Augusta, WI, Kristin (Chris) Merz of Buellton, CA and Alisa (Matt) Johnson of Mayer, MN;  stepchildren include Barb (Rich) Quam of Holmen, WI, Rob (Darlene) Baken of Blair, WI, Mark (Sharon) Baken of Greenville, WI and Jim (Heidi) Baken of Whitehall, WI;  grandchildren, Daniel & Kyle Gjerseth, Callen & Ella Johnson, Alexa & Cassie Quam, Sami (Kris) Becker, Abby (Trey) Johnson, Ashely & Justin Baken, Matt & Kaehl Baken, Melissa (Jeremy) Nelson, Brandon (Kimberly) Rolstad and Andrew Arneson;  great-grandchildren,  Adyson & Henry Becker, Jordy and Jack Nelson, Koti and Pyper Rolstad;  siblings, Patty Abrahamson, Carol (Roger) Guse and David (Janet) Neperud; sister-in-law, Sara Neperud and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Peter, Donald and John Neperud;  sister, Judy Giese and brothers-in-law, Don Abrahmson and David Giese.

The family is donating Ken's brain for dementia research.

Funeral services will be Saturday April 14 ^th at 11:00 at Peace Lutheran Church with burial in the Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery both in Pigeon Falls, WI.  Pastor Mary Ann Bowman will officiate.  Military graveside services will be conducted by the Northfield American Legion Post #051.

Visitation will be Friday April 13, 2018  from 4-7 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home in Whitehall and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
