Larry Gene Gilpin, age 62, of Blair, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 3, 2020 in the Gundersen Health System in LaCrosse.

Larry was born on March 6, 1957 in Milwaukee to Jay and Theodora (Petsch) Gilpin. He grew up in Milwaukee and attended the Custer High School. Larry's family later moved to Taylor. Larry worked at the Pine View Nursing Home in Black River Falls and completed his working career at Ashley Furniture in Whitehall.

Larry enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and hunting.

Larry is survived by his daughter, Cassandra (Devon); a granddaughter, two sisters, Coralynn (Mike) and Sarah; a brother, Mike; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews as well as many extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by a sister, Martha and two brothers, Patrick and Jay Jr.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. in the Woodlawn Cemetery in rural Taylor. Pastor Lowell Bolstad will officiate.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at the Taylor Lutheran Church in Taylor following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
